If you hunt deer or turkeys in the Crawford, Chadron, Hay Springs or
Rushville areas call ahead as they have been struggling with fires. There are still some that are only 20% or less contained. Well over 100,000 acres burned already. Most of Chadron State park is gone as the metcalf area north of Hay Springs
