NFOA is effective when our members make their voices heard. Access our Online Community to learn everything you need, to make sure your Senator knows your position on firearms legislation.
NFOA has an all volunteer board of Directors who develop and accomplish the strategic and tactical objectives of our organization. Board members serve 2 year terms and opportunities to serve are solicited every 2 years on even years. To learn more about our Board of Directors, visit the Board Page
Much of the work of NFOA is accomplished behind the scenes. We have the following committees which might be a great fit for your interests and talents. If you can contribute 5 to 10 hours a month, this is the opportunity for you!
Create, edit and publish NFOA communications on Facebook, Twitter, Newsletter, and/or email campaigns. If you have a background in communication, graphic arts, writing, publishing or social media, support NFOA through your talents!
Whether you want to be a formal volunteer lobbyist or help to prepare talking points, legislative summaries, or conduct research, the Legislative Committee is always looking for individuals interested in being active citizens and contributing to the legislative process.
This committee plans our annual members meeting, special NFOA education events, works with the Legislative committee to plan and execute events at or near the Unicameral, NFOA recruiting and information booths at conferences, gun shows and expos. If you are interested in meeting other firearms owners, sharing the value and purpose of NFOA, willing to make phone calls, make arrangements, schedules and contact presenters this would be a great fit for you.
This committee plans events and programs to raise money to execute NFOA's mission and vision. Whether it’s connecting with businesses to sponsor NFOA or NFOA events, or planning fundraisers this committee helps to fund the work of NFOA.
