If they are both recalled, this will make a great statement to the rest of the state Senators.  However, what are they going to do to get these laws off the books?

Fly: while the recalls don't remove the laws from the books - it's one hell of a message and also paves the way for fresh blood that might undo the laws.

There's also some interest for this and the formation of North Colorado undoubtedly ;)

A great step in the right direction and God bless all the fellow bikers in DC!!!
Having a CCW is like a seat belt in a car, a hassle to put on and uncomfortable to wear, you pray you never need it but thank God for it if you do. It is there to protect yourself and your family the only difference is a seatbelt is MANDATORY by law!! ~ Me

That Morse recall was CLOSE.  Just goes to show that every dollar and every volunteer counts.  I donated to both recalls.  It's not just Colorado's problem, it's up to all of us to stop these people everywhere we can.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Those seem like pretty dismal numbers for voter turnout... does anyone know how many registered voters are in each district?

I can't find the article I read this morning on it but I think it was 32% in one district and 26% in the other

The Battle is not over!
Quote
Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a grassroots organization of more than 100,000 members, issued the following statement regarding the recall election results in Colorado:

“The gun lobby may have won this local battle, but they will not win the national war. The National Rifle Association purposely called this recall election in Colorado – just a year before the regular election cycle – to ensure voting obstacles and low voter turnout. This reckless desire to remove legislators from office in an off-election year cost Coloradans more than $500,000 – an egregious waste of taxpayer dollars.

From the outset, this recall was designed as a tool of intimidation funded by the gun lobby. What a ridiculous temper tantrum by a bunch of bullies – moms know them when we see them . . .

Fortunately, the recalls do not impact the new gun laws signed into law earlier this year by Gov. Hickenlooper. The Colorado state legislature did the right thing by passing common-sense gun laws, requiring background checks for all gun buyers and limiting magazines to 15 rounds. This recall doesn’t change those laws – laws that will continue to protect Colorado families from senseless gun violence.

As moms, we are sad, angry, and more determined than ever to stand with those who stand for gun sense. There will be dozens, maybe even hundreds of elections next year, and we will organize and vote for lawmakers who support common-sense gun laws like background checks. Moms will stand with those lawmakers who stand with us, and we will not back down until gun laws are strengthened in every state in this nation.

But, being funded by billionaire anti-2A people is OK.      It is OK to pass stupid laws made by stupid people who think that limiting the capacity of a magazine makes people safer.   They'll never realize that being forced to take a second or two to switch to another 15 round magazine may mean the difference between life and death when the perp, who never obeys gun laws, is still shooting from his 30 or 50 round mag.   That's the problem with Libs.  They are so arrogant they become stupid.    One, Diana DeGette, thought that when the magazine was empty the gun couldn't be fired any more.  She never realized that magazines can be reloaded.   That's how ill informed these brainless, politically correct twits are.

The NRA DID NOT call this recall election.  Some plumbers from Pueblo got the ball rolling.  Sure the NRA donated, but I don't think that's a crime.  At least, not yet.

Yep.  This was a true grassroots effort - those plumbers that started it were just regular joes, and a lot of them sold off their personal firearms to fund the effort.  They're true heroes.

Plumber and Electrician IIRC.

This is a sample ballot for Morse:

And I dunno if I agree with the points made, but it's interesting none the less:

It is funny how quick they decry "democracy" when one of our actual democratic institutions is used and it doesn't go in their favor... and to call a recall election an "egregious abuse of the law" is egregious in itself.
"Well-regulated" meant well equipped, trained and disciplined... not controlled with an iron fist.

Good riddance! Hopefully the next election they can throw the rest of the idiots out and repeal those dangerously flawed laws.
