After nine months of having our application in the wrong file according to them, the State Patrol has finally approved our curriculum and we can teach State-certified CCW classes now.
So---our first official State of Nebraska CCW course will be held November 16th.
This isn't a technique class (
we will be talking about fundamentals, but you should already know how to shoot), it isn't a gear class (
we will be talking about firearm, holster, and equipment choice but you need to already have a gun/holster combination suitable for concealed carry), it isn't a safety class (
we'll be reiterating and practicing firearms safety, but you NEED to already know how to be safe with a firearm), and it isn't a scenario/force-on-force class at all.
This is the class that follows the official State of Nebraska CCW curriculum suitable for proof of training allowing you to complete your application for a NE CCW permit. It is a one-day class that includes much of the day in the classroom, with a range portion at the end. To receive a certificate, you must pass both the written test and the range qualification.
