I don't know if it would be grandfathered or not but at least it would be postmarked prior to December.

So, when are the new NFA-related executive orders supposed to kick into effect? I may be looking at doing a paper form just to get it into their mailbox for when they "re-open."

bkoenig:
The comment period ends Dec 1st or so.  I imagine the new regs will be enacted fairly soon after that.

It keeps getting worse and worse:

Um... I just got an email from the DOJ (Gary.N.Schaible@usdoj.gov) talking about problems they're having with eForms and payments through pay.gov.

The eForms site is still down, but now it says:

--- Quote ---eForms Outage

Due to daily maintenance, the e-Forms system is temporarily unavailable.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience.

I don't know if this is a good sign or not. Anyone hear anything?

RobertH:
i heard the phone lines are jammed.  i won't call for another week or two... just to make sure my forms are pending.
