LE trade-ins?
« on: November 23, 2013, 06:07:30 PM »
Looking for a used 870. I'm inquiring about the best way to find LE trade in guns. I know some retailers get Glocks in from time to time but calling back and calling back seems to be a little daunting. Any tips on finding a good source for used LE guns, in this case an 870?

Also, I've heard that the newer 870 express's being made these days are "sub-par". Any ideas on that? Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Seems to be a pretty good start.

I do know sparky0068 recently purchased a brand spankin new 870 recently and would agree they are not the shotty they used to be.  Ended up returning it.

Truly unfortunate. Our Dept uses 870 police mag's and wingmaster's. They're old and beat up but they're broken in and shoot well for the round count. Without sparking a Mossy 500/870 debate,  I have heard performance issues with the newer 870's and will always be partial to the mossies.

Can't say much for the new 870 but I have a old one that's been around the block a couple times and its the best shotgun I have.  If you do your part, it has no problem doing its part.
