Posting pictures

Somehow I figured out how to put pictures in my posts before, but being older, I forgot how I did it. I have a firearm I want to sell and have taken pictures of it but can't figure out what size they need to be and how to get them into my post.
I searched the forum but couldn't find instructions. I figured they had to be in there somewhere.
Help an old guy out ...

Photobucket recently changed to a pay service.  i suggest using imgur.com, thats what most people use anyway.  imgur is faster and zero ads.  i have an account there and its pretty easy to upload.  figuring out how to share/download/delete takes a little bit of time.

At the bottom of this reply there is Attach: choose file name.  And under that is:

Allowed file types: doc, gif, jpg, mpg, pdf, png, txt, zip, xls, tiff, mp3, wav
Restrictions: 4 per post, maximum total size 2000KB, maximum individual size 500KB

I'm assuming that you can upload from the pc.

Yep-  use the Attach file here button below.  the pics will load small and folks will have to click on them to see.
Otherwise to embed full size pics you have to use a sharing service.
Now, I did stumble onto the fact that with Tapatalk, you can load them straight from your phone to full size.

Doesn't this from imgur's terms of service render it essentially uesless?

Also, don't use Imgur to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network.
