carrying in the peoples republic of omaha
depserv:
I was told by someone recently that Omaha still requires anyone who carries in their city to have their gun registered with the Omaha police. My understanding is that state law forbids such a rule. Does anyone know what the current status of this illegal act by treasonous bureaucrats is?

If you have a CCW permit, local ordinances (such as Omaha's) are null and void with respect to any concealable firearm you own with respect to the possession (including purchase) or transportation (including carrying, both open and concealed) of said firearm.
If you don't have a CCW permit, unfortunately, Omaha's ordinances are still in force.

since we're talking about carrying in Omaha, may i piggy back here.
without a CCW, let's say we are driving down the road, gun, unloaded, in a case, out of reach/sight, or even go as far to say in a trunk, if pulled over, do you have to inform the officer in that case?
