Eastern Cornhusker Trapshooting Conference is in full swing
« on: March 25, 2014, 01:50:53 PM »
For the last 2 Saturdays more than 1,200 high school and junior high trapshooters converged on various trap ranges.  The league is so big that it is divided into three division.  There are three events for the high school competitors, singles, handicap and overall.
In the north division Creighton Prep, Tekamah Herman, Papio South, Fremont and Marian have all won or tied for first in a team event.
In the central division Waverly, Lincoln SouthWest, Ashland 4-H have all won events.
In the south Crete, Fairbury, Beatrice and Norris have all won events.

Last Saturday the kids started at 7:30 and in the north they did their shoot offs under the lights. It was a cold and windy day.

Complete results can be found on the ECTC website. http://www.shootectc.org

There is also a Mid-Nebraska Trapshooting Conference with more than 400 shooters. Karp and Krow and Young Guns have won events. Their web site is at http://shootmntc.com

I would say that there is more than a few NFOA members that have family / friends that participate with ECTC. It is a great venue for the kids to be part of something that does not run on batteries.  ???

Story from Lincoln is that 6 kids and 1 adult fell ill from the conditions.
Please dress appropriately.
