The eForms system came through for me

Wow, sounds like e-file is the way to do it.

Quick question, were these using a trust or individual forms?

Thinking about it, there probably isn't a way to e-file the fingerprints and photo using an individual form....

RLMoeller:
The quick turnaround times are via e-forms.  So currently that requires a trust.

dkarp:
I should look into one soon, if the rules change there will be little point in using a trust.

Well, there are the co-ownership and estate-planning benefits that would continue, but unfortunately the proposed rule change would require extra bureaucratic rigmarole for every trustee on future applications to make or transfer NFA firearms. Using a trust with multiple trustees to do your paperwork will actually become more difficult than applying as an individual (assuming that the regulations that are eventually promulgated look like the proposal).

NENick:
I just checked on my eform, and from the homepage/draft/Form1 view, there aren't dates in the submitted & finalized date sections of my form. When I click into the form and go to the certify page, it shows: Your application has been SUBMITTED for processing.

I'm all set, right?
