whats best barrel length on a sbr? ar-15

of course it will be 5.56 .  and im not sure on the gas block yet, Im probably going with a standard sight tower, kind of want to do a retro like in my profile pic

No, just a standard low profile one.

 well I made my decision on the rifle, I went with a Century arms, C-93 pistol. its a H&K 93 cut down to a 8.3 inch barrel. since its a delayed, roller lock blow back, I don't have to worry about a gas block,
   All I have to do is get the stamp,  then pull out 1 pin. pull off the end cap, then slide the stock on put pin back in, and its done,
