Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) is collapsing from within. Mayor John Tkazyik is the latest, and most vocal, of nearly 50 mayors that have left Bloomberg's anti-gun posse. The consensus among former MAIG members? Their names were simply used in "anti-gun propaganda to further the personal agenda of Mayor Bloomberg."
We have been saying all along that Bloomberg does not care about making our cities and states safer. His only concern is pushing his personal anti-gun agenda trying to get as many guns out of our country as he can.
Multiple former members of MAIG are speaking out against the intentions of MAIG and Bloomberg. They are recruited under the impression MAIG is working to make our cities and states as safe as possible only to find out MAIG and Bloomberg are truly doing anything they can to take guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens. It is our job as Second Amendment Patriots to get the truth out about Bloomberg and MAIG.
Below is an inside look into Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Former member, Mayor John Tkazyik released this statement after leaving the organization recently. It gives you a truly disturbing inside look at the views and agenda being pushed by the anti-gun cronies involved with MAIG:
"I'm no longer a member of MAIG. Why? ...MAIG became a vehicle for Bloomberg to promote his personal gun-control agenda - violating the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens and taking resources away from initiatives that could actually work to protect our neighborhoods and save precious lives. Gun control will actually make a bad situation worse.
MAIG approached me with the promise that they'd assist me in developing effective approaches to clear our streets of criminals, get guns out of the hands of convicted felons, crack down on the drug trade and rid our streets of gangs that were terrorizing a city.
It did not take long to realize that MAIG's agenda was much more than ridding felons of illegal guns; that under the guise of helping mayors facing a crime and drug epidemic, MAIG intended to promote confiscation of guns from law-abiding citizens.
I don't believe, never have believed and never will believe that public safety is enhanced by encroaching on our right to bear arms, and I will not be a part of any organization that does."
After the Boston bombings, MAIG included the Boston bomber's names as statistics for victims of gun violence. This is a common tactic of anti-gun groups to try to skew gun statistics in their favor. After receiving massive scrutiny the group issued an apology, most likely just feeling sorry they were caught.
It has also become public knowledge that MAIG is being illegally funded by NYC tax dollars. The MAIG website was being hosted on a city-owned server, administered by city employees, and it also appears that a special counselor in the mayor's office was sent to lobby in Nevada on behalf of MAIG's gun control agenda.
Not only was Christopher Kocher sent to Nevada by Bloomberg to lobby, he tried to conceal his identity. Kocher scrubbed his City Hall e-mail address from the state of Nevada lobbying-registration Web site early in June.
The giant multi-million dollar anti-gun bus campaign launched by Bloomberg and MAIG has been a giant flop. It has been greeted by awful turnouts with more pro-gun supporters than anti-gunners. Many of the reports have said there are just a "handful" of supporters at each stop.
There are new stories out seemingly every month about a new low that Mayor Bloomberg will stoop to in order to push his anti-gun agenda. This man wants nothing more than every household in America to be firearm-less.
It is our job to stop them and protect our Second Amendment Right to keep and bear arms. When we are all united we can accomplish anything.
Since the re-election of Obama there has been constant pressure and threats toward our Second Amendment. The only way to counteract these threats is for Law Abiding gun owners to stand up against them.
Sincerely yours,
