Huh, those darn hollow point bullets Mr. Bruning....we should all be defending ourselves with fmj?

His staff calls him the "General".
My question for Mr. Bruning is why he allowed a back room deal for Brenda Council on her campaign funds misappropriation?
Would any other citizen get the same deal?

bullit:
1) "General" is an official way to address an Attorney General
2) Back rooam deal? Do elaborate.  BC was hammered pretty hard via fines and suspended law license iirc

Now I think if a normal citizen is caught embezzling funds from their employer or some organization they volunteer with etc. They are typically charged and more severly punished than a $500 dollar fine that Bruning's office arranged with the Senator, see first story.

Here is the story of an Omaha Nun with no previous criminal history, but had a gambling problem, who went to jail for embezzlement.
Here is a Postmaster that stole $6600 and was sentanced to 6 months in jail.

My point is that I have the perception of a sweetheart deal worked out for Brenda Council because she is a former Senator, and it has Jon Bruning's fingerprints on it. Nothing would come out of the "Generals" office without his approval.
Once again I would like to ask Mr. Bruning if any other normal citizen would get the same deal?

Bruning: "I support gun control".

No one's POV is so intractable that it is immune from change or changing conditions, unless they are pure ideologues.

I used to be an atheist, until my  knowledge of physics, math, biology and science in general increased significantly because of my college majors in the same subject areas.  IOW, the more I learned about science the more I came to believe in a divine "first cause".

While a student in college my daughter was a staunch liberal and berated people like Limbaugh (whom I dislike), myself,  and conservatives in general.  We avoided political discussions for the sake of family peace.   Then, she graduated, got a job, started a family and what do you know .... all on her own her POV did almost a 180 switch.  :)    Now, like me, she is socially liberal but fiscally conservative.

Until I saw the photocopy of his article in the Daily Nebraskan I was leaning toward Bruning.  Now I have to examine his 2A activity since then more closely.   Too many politicans utter the words "I swear to .... protect and defend the Constitution of the United states against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, and I take this oath willingly, without mental reservations or purposes of evasion." but when they get in office the do just the opposite.  What will Bruning do?  Now I wonder.
