Cleaning choke tubes?
(1/1)
kozball:
Anyone have a real good trick on cleaning the plastic off of choke tubes?
I would prefer a solvent cleaner and don't want to use a drill with a brush attached.
Tried brake cleaner, not so good. Anyone try spray carb cleaner?
I think the tubes are stainless. Briley Probore in Rem 1100 if it matters.
Thanks

I'm not sure why you're opposed to the drill n' brush routine for clearing plastic out of choke tubes, but I've found no chemicals that take out polyethylene wadding residue. (And I'm not sure I want to be around stuff that does.)
A good tight fitting bronze brush and elbow grease will do a fairly good job.
