Form 4473

(1/2) > >>

thirtydaZe:
every time you fill one out, you must wait 5 days as to not raise any red flags?

i have a lower receiver en route that i'm committed to, and also finding myself with a new pistol itch.  i'd just hate to accidentally come upon a new gun, and be stuck in a waiting period.

also, said lower receiver, i think i've decided i'm likely just going to turn around and sell it.  i thought i wanted a spare, but don't think i need it so soon after all.  in order to sell this, do we have to be at the FFL, or do we just fill out the paper work?

RLMoeller:
The 5-day period is part of the "multiple handgun reporting" requirement, not all 4473 transactions.  Multiple handgun purchases in a 5 day period must be reported on a Form 3310.

RLMoeller:
You are allowed to sell something after you purchase it.  Does not need to be done by a dealer.

or...
I have had customers order multiple items and then have multiple persons come in to complete paperwork.  As long as the initial buyer fills out a form first, I know it isn't a straw purchase or anything shady.

I am doing that this week actually where a person coordinated a group purchase of 18 M91/30's.  The organizer picked his up last night.

thirtydaZe:
Ok great, thanks for the info.
