Thinking About Selling a Dragunov

(1/3) > >>

depserv:
I have a Romanian made Dragunov I'm thinking about selling because I've had it for over 10 years and have only shot it maybe 50 times.  It's in excellent condition.  It has what I believe is a standard scope, canvas scope cover, leather sling, and I have 4 extra magazines (5 total) and a military carrying case for them, plus some ammo that I would have no use for after I sell it.  I like the rifle but there's no sense keeping it if I never shoot it because I have other rifles I like better.  Any ideas on what I should be asking for the rifle, magazines, and ammo?  Thanks.

RobertH:
pics might help, but i'll give you $40 sight unseen for everything.  :D

i think FarmerRick might know, he seems to like those kinds of guns.

gsd:
If it is a PSL, semi auto 7.62x54r, they go for about $1100 online with the kit you described. I gave $1200 for the one I had a year ago.

depserv:
I don't know what the letters PSL refer to but it is 7.62 X 54R, semi-auto.

The most common Romanian version of a "Drugnov" is the PSL-54c. They also made versions called the Romak III, FPK, FPK Dragunov and SSG-97. They are all basically the same, except for the name depending on the maker/importer.  The "kit guns" assembled and sold by Tennessee Guns, Inc. have sketchy quality and as such they have quite a bit less value. If you can, post a pic or 2 of the info stamped on the receiver.

The prices listed above are a good ball park, depending on condition. Check Gunbot.com for current ammo value(seems to be hovering around 20-23 cents per round depending on retailer).
