Thinking About Selling a Dragunov

<< < (2/3) > >>

Ok I looked at the markings.  This is what they say:
FPK Dragunov
7.62 X 54R
Made In Romania
TS (or maybe T6; it isn't very clear) Knox TN

I assume the letters TN mean it's one of the ones assembled in Tennessee, which I guess lowers the value.  So what might it be worth, in excellent condition (since it's been sitting in a gun safe and only been out a few times)?

Ballpark guess would be $900 and up. A lot depends on how bad someone wants it. I wouldn't take anything less than $800 in today's market.

The "Made in Romania" is the good part. That means it was just imported by Tennessee Guns(TG Knox TN), and not assembled by them.

I would look at completed auctions on Gunbroker to find a current value, but would think $1000 on the whole package would be a smoking deal for someone. The mags have been going for $50 and up each lately as the tooling for them was destroyed a couple years ago, and they are not being made anymore.

If I didn't already have one....    ;D

You had me excited there for a second. Then I realized you've got a PSL not a Dragunov. My understanding is that the only Dragunov rifles ever brought into the country are the Norinco NDM 86 and the Izhmash Tigr. Both of those are rare and fetch a pretty penny. The PSL is just another flavor of Kalashnikov whereas the Dragunov action is different altogether.

barmandr:
Did you decide whether you're selling it?
