I'ld like to know how several people in the industry I follow posted to Facebook about it being nice to carry then...
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

    Thank you for contacting us.

The Charlotte Convention Center does not allow the carrying of firearms, both open and concealed.

The large size of our event and the fact that many of the largest convention centers are in some of the most restrictive cities leaves us with relatively few convention centers large enough to accommodate the Annual Meetings. In an effort to provide all NRA members a better opportunity to attend the Annual Meetings, it is important that we move the event around the country as much as possible. While we will not consider bringing the Annual Meetings to a city with gun laws we feel are restrictive, we must however deal with convention centers that have restrictions simply because there are so few convention centers that both allow conceal carry and are large enough to host all of the events that comprise the Annual Meetings.

    Thank you for your support!

    Best Regards,

And that's because even the NRA is well aware that a heavily armed crowd numbering in the tens of thousands (as promised by the organization) is an invitation to mishap and even disaster. Josh Sugarmann

There were people carrying open and I'm sure some carried concealed, too. We saw a ton of folks that were armed with guns and knives.

I was there Fri and Sat.  Saw one open carry, and didn't notice any conceal.  That's the way it's suppose to be right?  Both were legal.

Also had the pleasure of grabbing a loaded Glock away from someone who was pointing it at me and 15 other people. Fun times, fun times.

How do you tell an experienced shooter they aren't being safe?

Well first, you take their gun away so they don't accidentally shoot you...

What holster? He was just carrying it in a pocket in his "shoot me first" vest.

LOL! Shoot me First Vest-  That's about all the explanation I needed.  Mr. Tacticool, I presume?

WOW!  Ok then, Why was it out of it's Pocket?  Was there a threat on his life or bodily harm?  Or was it more a threat to the ego that nobody could see his Glock in his pocket?
