Is The Ammo Shortage Nearly Over?

Regarding unlocked ammo:  One of the big problems is the inconsistency that these rules were being applied.  I know of at least one local gun shop that was approached and told that they needed to change the way they displayed ammo, while Scheel's apparently had not been told to do the same. 

Regarding the ammo shortage:  Attached is a photo of what I saw at WallyWorld a few weeks ago.  Definitely not the bare shelves that I have seen in the past.  Still no 9mm, but lots of other pistol and rifle calibers available.

* .22LR in stock @ Cabelas last week
.22LR in stock @ Scheels Omaha/Lincoln  (scored some CCI HP Stingers in Omaha)
.223/5.56 same thing both places
.380  same thing both places
.40 same thing both places
Guns Unlimited appeared to have fairly full selectionARMSLIST...do a search for ammo and you'll see the hoarders/speculators (includes wal-mart employees) trying to dump.

Was at Cabela's in La Vista yesterday, and they had all the 22 ammo inside the optics area.  A salesman would hand the box to ya.  Asked why, and they said that people were stashing them throughout the store then going back and getting them later.  This way the ammo last a lot longer.

The reason my local gun store is giving for the shortage of 22lr. is , the cat lovers are hoarding it all. :laugh:
