This past weekend I partook in what we call "MOGUNFEST" its a group of friends that get together once a year and shoot, it has evolved a lot in the last couple years from just taking turns shooting to a little contest.
15 yard pistol
50 yard pistol
50 yard AR
150 yard AR
and 30 clays, 15 from 2 different positions
I did really really well at 15 yard pistol
50 yard pistol scored pretty poorly for everyone, thats a long ways for a pistol
50 yard AR standing is pretty easy when taking your time
150 yard AR from bench, I shot a 2 inch group...... 1/2 inch above the target, yea, not real happy about that.
30 clays.... well the throwing broke so we didn't get to finish I didn't shoot
also had a couple firsts
I shot a 50bmg, very heavy rifle, recoil very manageable
slidefire stock, got to blast through a lot of 223 with that
tannerite as well, guy at Scheels tells me since my range is only 150 yards I should only use 1/4 lbs, weak....... after shooting 2 of those at 150 we combined the last 2 and shot it at 100, much better!
There isn't a lot that can beat being outside with friends with grills, guns, and exploding targets
God Bless America!
