THIS IS NOT AN ATTEMPT TO CUT CORNERS, SHORTEN NE CCW TRAINING ETC.
Can't we all just get along!
<END RANT>
In an attempt to help other potential new NE CCW instructors get going, I am posting a Nebraska Concealed Carry Guide.
An NRA Pistol Instructor class was recently offered so some are ready to go I am guessing.
Philosophy of the Manual: More NE instructors means more NE armed citizens. At least that is my hope.
The NSP NE CCW Test is TOP TOP SECRET, yet you need to write a manual that covers the test items sufficiently without a copy of the test. In providing a manual, I have taken much of the guess work out of that for future NE instructors.
I took the Nebraska State Patrol mandated outline and made those items the headings.
https://statepatrol.nebraska.gov/media/10121/ccw_course_objectives.pdfThen the text/narrative of each heading was written.
This way, if asked by the NE State Patrol, where you discussed XYZ, it matches up exactly with their outline.
This is a minimalist manual. If you wish to add your college paper on inside the waistband vs. outside the waistband to the manual to give to your students, go for it.
Wish to add fancy graphics, go for it.
This has been done before in Illinois, where Illinois carry offers a package deal of IL state approved training (C.L.I.C.) to use in your IL classes, once you go through their instructor process. They charge, this is free help.

http://illinoiscarry.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=40809The PDF is secured for now, as it is not yet approved by the NE State Patrol. Once approved I will post in this thread with the new revision if the NSP see's something in it that requires an update.
Two Things not included: 1) NE State Patrol Rules and Regulations PDF is a required document, but not included in the PDF.
A note on the last page of the manual states Rules and Reg document to follow. Print and give to your students as part of this manual.
2) Range Plan - Write you own range plan for NE State Patrol approval.
NSP gives these guidelines -
Students shall complete practical exercises which include practice shooting on the range. These exercises will include but are not limited to the following; drawing and firing drills, precision shooting drills, and decision making (shoot-don’t shoot) drills. The number of rounds to be fired in practice by each student will be determined by the instructor.
Feedback:Constructive feedback is welcomed.
You will need to submit your manual to the NSP. Note: V7 not yet approved (Approval is pending)Once approved, you will be criticizing a manual, approved by the Nebraska State Patrol. If you feel it covers a topic insufficiently then rewrite it and add it to your manual and submit it to the NSP.
Or attempt to reform the NSP manual approval/Instructor process yourself. If you wish to contribute your written content to the manual, credit will be given in the manual on a contributors page. Name, email, website etc.
Detailed information contributed may be added to an optional Appendix to hold to the minimalist approach for now.
