10/11 Special Report - Open About Concealment - Part 1
« on: July 31, 2014, 10:46:32 PM »
I thought this was a pretty positive story regarding Concealed Carry and women.  I found it interesting that the reporter was completely unfamiliar with firearms and is seeking training.  She essentially says that with guna all around, learning about them is the wise and safe thing to do.  Holy hand grenades batman!  Logic from the media?!  :o

She is even going so far as to get her CHP.

I had the pleasure of teaching the class that she took.  She was very open to my instruction with her handgun, and was probably the only person who had read all of the class materials ahead of time and came prepared with questions.  There will be a part two in class and on the range posted soon.
The master has failed more than the beginner has even tried.

Great!  I sent her an email to thank her for the story.  I also told her I was pleased that she would take such a logical, yet unusual stance on learning about firearms despite not growing up with any.

One question HuskerXDM.  Who was that tall ugly guy behind the counter at the gun range in the black hat and black Hornady t-shirt?

I wasn't at Thunder Alley and you'll never catch me saying Randy is ugly... word on the street is he has a gun

Here is part 2 to the story: http://www.1011now.com/home/headlines/Open-About-Concealment---Part-2-269275011.html

So, did this reporter purchase her own firearm?

This was a great story IMHO.  I emailed her and told her that if she intends to take this carry biz seriously, she should consider more training.  I thanked her as well for doing a good, fair story.

She'd look awful fashionable in an IDPA limited edition orange cover garment. May offer mine to her.
