Sharing a Journal Star Article

A safe thread has gotten some attention lately.  This reminds us to bolt them down.

I guess answering the door late at night for folks unknown to you is a bad idea.   Who knew?

It's a good thing he didn't have a gun one or more thugs might have gotten hurt.

Lesson, do not ever open your door for a stranger at any time of the day for any reason.

I can hear the yea but what if's out there now ... again ... Never ever for any reason open your door to strangers ...Never.

And tell your kids.  About 16 years ago doorbell rang at 3 A.M. straight up.  We have a mantle clock that chimes on the hour.  I woke up and saw the time and thought it was the clock.  By the time I realized it was the door bell, my 12 year old was already at the door.

I came down the hallway and a tall stranger was heading toward me.  Let's just say he did a 180 and vamoosed pretty damn quick.
