Mister Doctor PhD Physics Professor (aka SFG).....don't you realize that the bullet is moving so fast the plastic melts on its way down range and at the right moment (and ONLY the right moment) said plastic complete obliterated at the point of contact with the target thus ensuring proper entry and subsequent expansion...... or so it sounds good made up ....

The funny thing about these is for every internet page of a guy getting great expansion as he shoots (take your pick: milk jugs, dead animals, ballistic gel, pumpkins, mud), there's another one who gets no expansion.
None of which means anything scientifically, except for the fact that I never seem to see quite as many negative reviews of some other "premium" projectiles, e.g. Gold Dots. Might just be the calibers I'm reading about, though.

Now there wuz this story of the Perfect Crime, where the Perp shot bullets made of dry ice, which then evaporated and left no trace of the murder weapon.
Does not work on victims wearing Blue Denim.
