Libs trying to suck up to gun owners.

This candidate, apparently wanting to show her gun smarts, points a handgun at a camera.  She's indexing the trigger.  I hope the photographer wasn't holding the camera.  Notice that she is right handed but has her right eye closed and appears to be sighting with a "middle" eye.     :o

The black leather biker jacket also adds to the intimidating pose.  I wonder if the gun rental fee came out of campaign funds?  ;)

the lady in the photo is a former military officer who is a tea party, gun loving, conservative who is running in Iowa.  Even though her form is not the bes,t Iowa and the USA would be better off with her in the office over her rival.

Yes that is a very close race and gaining a lot of National attention because the polls have it so close, it's Iowa first in the Nation Caucus, and the fact that this was a Dem seat that could change hands to the Republicans.  Lots at stake here and it is very high profile.  Watch for lots of outside money and attack adds to hit the airwaves from both sides, hope it does not drown out her message.

That's Joni?.. I didn't recognize it from the photo. Hell, I like her so apologies for the sarcasm.  If she doesn't take the senate I'd like to see her cross the river and take on Terry in a few years.  Bob Kerry probably has a house for sale. ;D

Joni Ernst 'eh?  Lots of air time being devoted to either vilifying or canonizing her on the local stations.  While I do not agree with some of her political positions I agree with brandonhein's assessment of the situation, better her than the other one. 

But then again I dont live in Iowa, so my opinion is really just that, and does not really count for much in that race.

I didn't either.  :(    Apologies also, even if the shooting form of a Lt. Colonel is suspect.  An NRA A+ rating doesn't mean the recipient knows how to shoot.   Right handed and left-eyed, with the right eye closed?  Well, what ever works.

I'm right handed and my right eye is a lazy eye so my right hand is my strong pistol hand but I use my left eye.  I shoot long guns left handed.  I practice weak hand and weak eye shooting also.  Could be she is left eye dominant and right handed too, as others have suggested.  She could have held her trigger finger in a better position though.

That is exactly my situation, I have to close my right eye and get my sight picture with my "good" left eye, so my head is cocked as in the picture. Probably not the best situation but it works for me.
I also have shot rifle left handed ever since my BB gun days, that is why my first shotgun was an Ithaca 37 because my Dad's model 12 ejected shells into my arm.
I should try weak hand with a pistol, as I am somewhat ambidextrious.
Depserv, I have found there are a lot of us out there with the same issue.
