Greybeard:
Just saw this on a CNN clip.

Relates to the Taurus Brazilian Pistol, NOT the Taurus USA pistol!!
farmerbob:
Scary stuff. What a POS!!! :o
Gary:
Taurus is a gun maker but not a gun maker I would use or suggest as a defense handgun. They made a .22 revolver that was given a handgun of the year award by a popular magazine. I own that gun. It is not handgun of the year material by any means. Imho.
NE Bull:
I wonder if there is not a spring on the striker??
I own a 24/7 Pro not the DS (which is supposed to be a decocking safety- a feature that came out later that I thought I wanted. Mine is also a Taurus USA one- if that makes a difference- I thought they were all made in Brazil.
Now ya'll got me concerned and will have to go out to the range and shake it a bit. - carefully.
I will still stand by my Tauruses (car and gun) but just like any mass produced item made, there will be flaws. We trade them off-
GreyGeek:
It surprises me that it doesn't go full auto and empty the magazine due to the movement and shaking of the slide during recharge.
