Lou Dobbs Report of GRPC event;

It was a great time, next year it's behind the lines in San Francisco last weekend of September.

DanClrk51:
Great guys! Thanks for working hard to get us closer to 10,000.

This is a very important point that can not be overlooked.

The threat to our Second Amendment Freedoms went global a number of years ago. The UN has been inundated with any number of treaties that could affect our Right to keep and bear arms if ratified by the Senate and signed by the President.

The NRA has shouldered the mantle in opposing these measures. This necessary action has left a void in the state houses and municipal councils, a void that must be filled by grassroots groups like the NFOA. The NRA has asked for our help in this regard.

Over the last several years I have talked to a number of people that feel like the NRA is not doing all it could to support us at the state and local level. I confess I was guilty of that thinking to a small degree until I had the opportunity to talk with Wayne La Pierre in 2004. The global threat to our Second Amendment Rights is very real and the NRA is the only organization that has the funds and expertise to protect those Rights.

In support of the NRA it is up to us to fill the void at the state and local level. The Second Amendment Foundation is an excellent resource for assisting the NFOA in becoming a much more effective force for "Gun Rights" in the Cornhusker State. Since the Gun Rights Policy Conference there are a number of projects that should be considered that will assist the NFOA in becoming a more effective organization.

Believe me, the NRA is working harder than ever to project our 2A Rights, it is just being done at a higher level than ever before. It is incumbent on us to support them and fill the state and local void that was created by the actions of the "Global Community".

Good post, Gunscribe.

The NRA can't do everything for everyone.  We all must work together - NFOA, NRA, SAF, CCRKBA, all of us.

huskergun:
I agree Gunscribe. We all have to stick together.
