HELP, AR Scope Mount
« on: December 11, 2014, 04:31:30 PM »
I need to get a scope mount for AR that has at least 2.5" of space between the front and rear rings.

I have a Falcon Menace scope that has an adjuster box in the center that measures approx
2.375 from front to back, so even with a mount at 2.5" there would be no slide adjustment available.

Something with 3+ inches would be preferred and needs to be 30mm.

So, what are you using? and what is the spacing?

Thanks

Do you have a flat top rifle? if you do all you need are rings to fit it,

Flat top mil spec 20 rifle.

Mount must be a forward offset cause I can't get the eye relief needed when mounted on Burris rings.

This one seems to have a bit more space between the rings than most. They have various models depending on scope tube diameters.

Have you thought about a extended riser?  It would allow you to mount a standard ring further forward.

No, but is something to look at.

Have been looking at Weaver SPR which is supposed to be 2.6 inches between rings. Nikon M223 appears to be quite wide. Also Primary Arms has 2 different mounts that I don't,t have specs yet.

I have this mount on 5 rifles, it raises it 1/2 inch, but is really strong and works great,

I have a Weaver extended riser on my Grendel upper.  With low rings I still get a good cheek weld.  It also has a 20 MOA cant, so I can get a little more elevation for long distance shooting.
