Since Monday, November 10, 2014 is the anniversary of the founding of the United States Marine Corps, it is the Marine Corps' 239th birthday.

So we will start the reloading clinic with a lusty a capella rendition of the Marine Corps Hymn.

I think so.  Certainly they did while I was there.

FWIW, Last time I was there, it was lotsa four-letter words screamed directly into your face.

Sorta close-up and personal.

Forms a close and deep bonding experience between the Screamer and the Screamee.

At the time, such experience was often accompanied by something called corporal punishment.  Which is somewhat of a misnomer, because it was most often actually administered by sergeants.

The Marine Corps.....  Those folks certainly have their ways.
They will let your body go free; they keep your head forever.

Very informative class tonight!   
I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to begin reloading ammo or just gain a better understanding of the process!

SemperFiGuy & Unfy gave a great hands on presentation & I loaded the first ten towards my goal of 1million rounds!

Big Thanks to Mudinyeri for hosting the event & recording it as well!

The only disappointments were.....
#1-SFG didn't demonstrate the 'exploding 40 technique' in class.....
#2-Unfy didn't end every answer with, "science heh"
#3- we didn't start the class by singing a Marine anthem!

Frankly, I appreciated all of the following.

SFG and Unfy were kind enough to allow me to shoot video of the class.  My plan is to edit the video and then post it to the NFOA YouTube page ... when I can find the time.

Well, another Forum Reloading Clinic under our belt now.   

Four new Reloaders were created and turned loose to prowl the fun stores for cartridge components and reloading equipment.  Mudinyeri's excellent training facilities were exactly spot-on for this event.

These generous Forum members each made contributions of one sort or the other to the total effort:

They deserve recognition for their part in helping to make it all work.

Some Highlights:
1)  I did not show them how to blow up a Springfield .40XDM.   They will need to learn that partickler trick through their own personal efforts.  Same as I did.
2)  We did not loudly sing the Marine Corps Hymn.  (We had a retired US Army guy in the group and it might have triggered Immediate Traumatic Distress Syndrome.  Gotta show respect for the other service branches.)
3)  unfy and Mudinyeri were deeply comparing notes about the science and art of kydex holster manufacturing when I finally left.  Watch for a new kydex holster company...

Last night's event was a good, solid shared experience.   It spread some handgunnery lore.  It added somewhat to the body of shooting-related knowledge.  It strongly stressed safety-safety-safety.   And it kept us all out of bars and other shady places.  At least, until 10pm.

The class paying earnest attention to SFG's instruction on some of the dangers associated with reloading.

Students were awesome, Ken was awesome as usual, and I wasn't bleeding after this clinic .  Everyone seemed fairly confident after the class.

Big thanks to Mud for hosting us.  Facilities were awesome.  If we do happen to use Handy Man Joe's again, I'll be sure to remember to bring something else that I'm sure he might appreciate.


I've learned I'm not quite ready for standing for 3-4 hours straight yet (back was killing me towards the end).
