South Dakota trooper shot
« on: January 08, 2015, 09:21:11 PM »
The trooper shot in this incident is my second cousin - I don't know him well, but my dad called and told me about it.  He's expected to recover fully.  From what I was told he was wearing a vest, but the bullet struck him in the armpit while his arms were raised and holding his sidearm.

Good to hear he will make a full recovery.

On a side note:  Who the heck calls 911 and threatens Law Enforcement?  Death wish? Totally spaced?  Never mind.

The golf course is a willful and deliberate misuse of a perfectly good rifle range!      Jeff  Cooper

Glad to hear he will be okay bkoenig.

That's not the only question.  How do these people think they are going to be able to barricade themselves in a structure and wait out the authorities?  Especially when our LEO's are equipped as well as a small military force.

Because they were likely armed with Kilo Limas in the new 10 mm Model 40 version with Mounted Optic (oops, that's still a secret until the SHOT Show)

From what I've heard, the people who did this were pretty much known scumbags who had multiple previous encounters with the law.  It sounds like they were threatening a lot of other people besides just law enforcement.
