NRA board elections
« on: January 24, 2015, 04:51:23 PM »
If you are an NRA life member or higher, or have been an annual member for 5 years you are eligible to vote in the Board of Directors election.  I want to encourage everyone eligible to cast their vote.  You can vote for up to 25 candidates, but because of the way the election works if you only vote for a couple of candidates you greatly increase their chances of getting elected.

I am strongly urging everyone to vote for Timothy Knight.  Mr. Knight was nominated by member petition and I am proud to have been one of the petitioners.  He was one of the organizers of the recent recall elections that recalled two anti-gun Colorado state senators and forced a third one to resign.  He is exactly the type of person we need on the board.

On the other hand, I urge everyone in the strongest possible terms to NOT vote for John K. Brown.  Mr. Brown has actively worked against the interests of gun owners, including collaborating with the ATF to restrict NFA ownership.  I can't imagine why he is on the slate, but we need to do everything possible to NOT have him elected.  You can read more at the link below:

Your ballot will be in your current NRA magazine, so if you haven't received it yet you should very soon.  I have already returned mine.

Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom.   J. F. K.
