My iPhone won't let me enter the correct url (one that this forum will accept) so once you get to the watchdog site search for the Vermont Democrat who says that criminal background checks are a waste of time. Sorry.

Thanks Dan.
I kept getting a 403 page telling me I didn't have authority to post that link, even when I replaced the ASCII control codes with the colon and two forward slashes they represent.

The guy makes perfect sense. Only people are abide by the law will buy guns through normal channels and submit to background checks. And forcing a "background" check on someone to who he/she is making a private gun sale is ludicrous. That all these rules and regulations INFRINGE on the 2nd Amendment, regardless of how "reasonable" they appear to be, makes it all the worse. As Dick Clark pointed out, it is ludicrous that unconstitutional gun laws allow us to guard our money in banks but not our children in school. So ludicrous that anti-2A people are now recommending our kids take food cans to school to use as weapons against psychotics (all but one of the last 30 or so school shootings were by folks just off they psychotropics) armed with semi-auto pistols and rifles. While in a perfect world weapons of any kind would not be needed in this world they are needed as protection against evil people and Socialists who see personal weapons as an impediment against their desires to fully control every aspect of our lives.

Yes our firewall is locked down pretty tight, so no SQL injection type character strings allowed

That'a what I suspected. That's a good practice.
