A good Democrat!

In my imperfect memory it seems like the Democratic Party used to be the party of the working class instead of the party of the liberal bigot it is today.  An old time Democratic political activist I talked to years ago told me that in his opinion it was during the infamous '68 convention that the liberal wing took control over the Party.  I doubt it was just the convention, but there were major upheavals that year, and it was around then that the change took place if I remember right.  Too bad it can't go back to the way it was.  Not as far back as FDR though.

Today's liberals aren't really liberals, they're authoritarian socialists. "Liberal" comes from the Latin word for "free man", and today's liberals aren't about freedom but about government control of the people and suppression of those who think differently.

I was in grad school at the time and remember it well.  The "Chicago Eight" led the takeover, and despite being convicted of riot their convictions were overturned and none went to prison or were punished.  Bobby Seale, founder of the Black Panthers, is not included in some recounts and you will often read of the "Chicago Seven".  Abbie Hoffman, the unofficial leader/spokesman of the group was a self-avowed Marxist.    Like most Leftists of the day their actions plans always involved using even the slightest excuse to attack America  and making excuses for the massive oppression in the USSR, Cuba and other Marxist countries.

The Democrats were the party of the Southern Plantation/Slave owners following the Civil war.  They enacted the Pole taxes, Jim Crow laws, and numerous other gambits to keep Blacks on a virtual plantation, where most remain today.  They got firearms regulations enacted to keep Blacks from arming themselves to fight their oppression, which came entirely from the Democrat party.    Even though 4/5ths of the Republican party pushed for and voted for the Civil Rights Act the Democrats and their allies in the media presented it as a Democrat Party accomplishment, which attracted most Blacks to the Democrat Party.   Johnson's "Great Society" welfare act paid them, and poor Whites as well, to continue voting for Democrats, who think nothing of taking money from those who work to earn it and giving it to those who do not work, for what ever reason.    This has led to the current result of  92 Million Americans of working age not holding a job and being dependent on one of the government's 40+ "means tested" welfare programs.    America is essentially Socialist today, in a fascist sort of way,  because many corporations are joined at the hip with the federal government and receive special favors for being so.  Hence giant health insurance companies now act as middlemen between the government's check writing machine and the people to whom the monies are supposed to go, taking a nice sizable chunk of the money for themselves.   The CEO of Humana, for instance, is paid 17 Million per year, plus bennies, yet an elderly person is refused a CT heart scan because it is to expensive by a Doctor working for Humana who has probably never worked a day earning his living in his own practice yet feels qualified to over rule the attending physician's treatment plan base purely on the profits Humana makes.

When you look at the effect liberalism has had on the black community you have to wonder if the leadership of the Klan turned in their robes and traded them for business suits and got into politics, because it's a lot easier to cause harm to people if you can convince them that you're their friend.  We all know about the liberal icon Robert Byrd.  And we can see that liberalism has black people killing each other at a greater rate than the old Klan ever could have done.  Of course I don't really think this is how it all went down, but I do think liberals have the same lack of respect for black people the Klan had, and I think they use them as pawns in political war, even knowing how much harm their policies do to the community.

The Democrats have waged political war while patriots have dabbled in legitimate politics, and now we are seeing the strategies of political war come to fruition: a massive welfare state that can be counted on to vote for the most liberal candidate, so-called mainstream media that act like a PR machine for liberalism, and classes, races, and the sexes turned against each other, with one group convinced it is being oppressed by the other, and the only way to stop the oppression is to give government ever greater power over all of us.  Patriots should have been fighting harder against those strategies while they were building; now their power seems overwhelming.  I don't think there will be a political solution that will save the Republic.

There is talk on the internet about what is called the Cloward-Piven strategy, which seems to be right on schedule.  And being accelerated by Obama bringing in as many third world poor as he can.
