Seeking Lincoln NE FFL
« on: March 12, 2015, 04:29:03 PM »
Any suggestions for a Lincoln based FFL to receive an online purchase?  I know there was somebody here offering $10 transfers for NFOA Members but I think he was in Ashland.

Main criterion is cost. My boy wants to spend the money he saved up for a .22, so trying to keep the cost down for him.

i think that was Liberty Arms, but not sure.

Also DE Guns, Thunder Alley, Big Shots (i think), Nebraska Gun and American Reaper in Bennett.  lots of choices, but i can't remember the cost of all of them.  i think $25 is pretty much the same for all the stores, but i know Liberty is a little cheaper.  but in Lincoln, it will be reported to the LPD.  going to Reaper, that will not happen.

There is also Joel Rezac in Valparaiso $20 for hand guns and .22 rimfire rifles, if
you don't care to have the LPD know more about how many guns you own than
your wife does!

FYI, there should be no reporting to LPD except with handguns being sold to non permitholders. A .22 rifle shouldn't be reported any case, since they are commonly used for hunting purposes.

Smith Arms and Ammo in Ashland was doing $10 transfers for members, however he had to raise to $15 to defray costs.  He's a great guy to do business with and to me it's worth the short drive from Lincoln....just my .02           www.smitharmsandammo.com

I have heard recently that Big Shots no longer does transfers.
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

I've done business with Logan Smith and found him to be an excellent man to do business with.  I bought a rifle through him and had him do some gunsmith work on a different rifle.  Good results both times, and the money I saved more than paid for the gas to drive there from Lincoln.  Low overhead has its benefits.  Makes me wish my gun safe was not already overfull.
