DHS to Purchase 63 million rounds of AR 15 Ammo

wcr:
Well here we go again. if they can't get the guns and they can not ban the ammo then
they will just try to buy the ammo up and make the guns worthless or
the ammo too expensive to buy.  Looks like time to get our Senators/Reps
to look into this why they need this quantity.  What do you guys think?

To some extent this works in our favor. A lot of what we see is actually seconds. Ammo that does not meet the tight mil spec so they get pushed off on the civilian market or so a friend told me that works at federal...

wcr - Info Wars isn't the best news source.  This one looks legit though.

tst - When I was in that's how it was.  Even our vehicles were 2nds.  Not the M series though.

Mntnman:
Just how many AR15s are they aquiring this for and how many armed employees do they have?

ILoveCats:
Never put too much faith in journalists who refer to ammunition as "bullets". ::)

So 12.6 million rounds a year. Say you divide that by 25,000 officers; it is 504 rounds a year.  A lot for a wicked black rifle???  I wouldn't know. I only own those wood-stocked, bolt action ones that aren't inherently evil.
