CCI 22 question
« on: April 26, 2015, 08:11:02 PM »
I was at Wally World recently and when I saw some CCI 22 standard bricks I decided to toss one in my cart.   The clerk tried to ring it up and it wouldn't let him.  He said there a recall and it needed to be returned.  I saw nothing about a recall on CCI website.  Anybody know anything I don't.

I had no trouble buying the other ammo that day.

Nuthin' on the front page of the CCI website that could be seen regarding a .22lr ammo recall:

http://www.cci-ammunition.com/

Front page is where it would most likely be.   Din't prowl the bowels of the beast.

And nuthin' elsewhere on the web that leaped out conspicuously.
Coupla other .22lr recalls; none for CCI.

Actually there was a guy behind me trying to buy a brick and they also told him it had to be returned.

FWIW, I didn't try to take all the 2 bricks they had.  :o

It's been around a year since I've seen a box of 22LR at our local Wally World, of course I don't have their truck schedules, 100rd. box is largest, one per customer, we will know things have definitely went south when they break the boxes of 50 and 100 up and restrict customers to one bullet per visit per day.

The latest 223/5.56 debacle caused a rush, seems to be coming back, the cheaper stuff like tul ammo is still non existent.

Columbus Wal Mart never sold out of Tulammo even during last rush.
