Winchester w209 Primers

Can someone please explain to me what these are for, etc.  My father left me a lot when he passed away and I'm not familiar with them.  Thanks!

Winchester W209 shotgun primers are a popular standard for trap/skeet shotshell reloaders.
They run about $30/1000-piece box at local retail.

So if you have enough leftover primers to bother messing with, you could list them for sale here on NFOA or Armslist - Nebraska/Iowa.

Or---You could start reloading your own shotshells, take up trap/skeet/sporting clays/5-stand and get hooked.
