Hello, it is time to post information about our July breakfast. This is an informal get together of NFOA members and friends, just a chance to eat, drink coffee, visit, learn, discuss, and get to know others on the forum.
Time is 09:00 on Sat. July 11th, at Billy's Gretna Cafe, Hwy 370 and Hwy 31 intersection, just east, on the north side of 370. Right next to the Pinnacle Bank complex.
Please post if you are coming so I can give them a head count the day before.

Looks like Linda and I have to beg off. The VFW Riders annual "Ride to the Freedom Rock" in Greenfield, Iowa has been rescheduled for that day. Guess we will see you in August.

how was having breakfast with BG Don Bacon? i see on twitter it was pretty good. any talking point to tell us?

He gave a brief speech touching on his conservative views, pro 2A, his wife comes from a family of shooters. Pro death penalty, smaller Govt. some kind of flatter fairer tax system. He is an NRA member, and wants to join the NFOA.
Rod gave him info on becoming a member.
He seems like a friendly straightforward guy to me.

Don is a great guy and I'm proud to have publically endorsed him.
Hope folks got a chance to visit with him - down to earth.

I'm gonna put on my cynic hat...

How can a Pro 2A Conservative NRA supporting man not know about NFOA's work in the state or find it difficult to sign up as a member?

I am really really tired of supposed Pro 2A Conservatives using us to get elected and then underperforming in office or becoming less conservative to "reach across the aisle" and bring people together to get things done, which always seem to be the Liberal agenda being advanced while NFOA priorities are ignored.
