I was discussing the Plattsmouth CCW issue over dinner the other night with the family (Yep, all 7 of us, at one table, discussing the topics of the day over a meal! Imagine that!) and mentioned that the Plattsmouth Police Chief's concerns were groundless, as State law already made carrying a concealed weapon illegal for everyone except CHP holders.  Eldest (age 11) piped up with "So they have a law that makes something that is already illegal, MORE illegal? Isn't that like making something more DEAD ????"

The Right to Keep and BEAR Arms is enshrined explicitly in both our State and Federal Constitutions, yet most of us are afraid to actually excercise that Right, for very good reason: there is a good chance of being arrested........ and  THAT is a damned shame.  III.

Too bad that we haven't found a cure yet for the scores of people in our country afflicted by the dreaded disease that attacks our common sense as we age, the highly contagious democratitis liberalosis.
