This is just a few miles west of me. Luckily no one was injured. I hope these 2 get some hefty jail time. Just plain stupid...
KEARNEY — A stray bullet passing through the headrest of a pickup on Interstate 80 has two Kearney men facing felony charges.
At about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Nebraska State Patrol troopers were called to the Interstate 80 Minden Interchange after a motorist called 911 to report the passenger window of his pickup had been shot out as he drove east on I-80. Buffalo County Court records say the driver found a spent round in the passenger compartment of the pickup in the backseat after it passed through the front passenger headrest.

Felony criminal mischief?

Somewhere in the Great Morass of Nebraska Statutes there must be listed an offense known as "....terminally stupid actions involving firearms...".

One of the guys is a felon with a gun. I hope that charge doesn't go away.

And Bassway Strip will be closed to target shooting in 3... 2... 1...
Morons (to put it lightly).
The last few years Bassway has increasingly become a haven for the worst examples of shooters. The trash is worse than ever and spreading to more and more access points. Old gallons of paint shot and spilled everywhere, old electronics, tons of glass bottles, etc. I suppose the recent high water has washed a lot of it downstream, but it will be back.
Now these brainiacs go out there and shoot TOWARDS the interstate. Seriously?
