Is there any good or bad on this safe, or can you point me to a better option front face opening safe?

I didn't need a front face opening safe, so I can't point you to a good one of those, but I'd advise against biometric ones.  Too many of the reviews say either "it wouldn't open for me when I tried," or worse, "any fingerprint opens it."  If you don't mind relying on electronics/batteries then a keypad is the way to go, or probably the best option is a Simplex mechanical lock.

I have a V-Line Top Draw.  It's not a Fort Knox, but it's very decently heavy and well-built.

I also have a Shotlock Handgun 200 Mechanical Safe and a Gunvault SpeedVault SV500.  I'm not sure how resistant either one would be to burglary, but I think they're more than sufficient for safekeeping from kids.

i seen this one and i like it was thinking about it http://www.gunvault.com/gun-safes/speedvault.html/ bio & non bio version  they all so have many others to look at just click on the tabs ...

i seen this one at guns unlimited awhile back and took measurements so i could place it under the seat in my truck so when i go to the bar i can lock up my gun and return home with it locked away if i decide to have a drink , it uses a wall plug or battery,s you can even go buy separately from any store a cigarette lighter adapter "12 volts", and has a manual key override if all other power is gone this one is not a front open but is very nice http://www.hornady.com/store/RAPiD-Safe

i ended up buying a low profile 3 tumble dial lock box as the hornady was about a 1/2" to tall to fit all the way under my seat the way i wanted it too.

oh forgot to say if you work with your hands , I.E. in construction , mechanic type jobs or prone to cuts don't get a full biometric finger print scan safe as it will not open if your finger print gets worn or altered by cuts etc...

tip scan as many fingers in the unit as you can in case you do get a cut on one finger you can still open it . but hope the bad guy will wait as you scan a different finger ... lol

These http://www.fas1safe.com/ are very nice. They have a holster built in to the lid so the gun pops out to you when you open it.
I also really like the simplex locks more than electronic locks.
