This is an introductory Citizen First Responder class focused on basic emergency medical skills. Training includes use of a basic trauma kit, differences between direct and indirect threat care, victim rescue, multiple bleeding control techniques, treatment of penetrating torso trauma, airway issues and shock. This is a non live fire class. Students will get plenty of hands on practice in the classroom and will test their new skills by participating in at least one realistic scenario.
This class is perfect for the student who cant meet the live fire prerequisites to enroll in TacMed Intermediate or who doesn't need or want the live fire, wounded shooter, module.
