February 23 Open House for Ian Swanson

Handyman Joes and Bluestem Meeting Solutions, along with others to be announced, will be hosting an open house, meet & greet event for Ian Swanson, candidate for the state legislature in the Southwest Omaha District (District 31).

When: February 23, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Where: Handyman Joes/Bluestem Meeting Solutions 3706 S. 138th Street Omaha, NE 68144

A donation of $50 or more is suggested.

If you are unfamiliar with Ian, he graduated with honors from Hillsdale College in Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy and a Minor in Spanish. Since he was a young boy, Ian has demonstrated a passion for connecting people of all religious, cultural, social, economic, and political backgrounds. Ian is a talented musician and informative teacher of a variety of subject seminars, including: “How Christians Should Interact with Their Government”, and “Constitutional History 101”.  Most importantly, to this group of potential supporters, Ian is a STRONG proponent of the Second Amendment and will fight for our rights in the Unicameral.

I was curious about Hillsdale College and read what Wikipedia has about it.  Awesome college!

WARNING: I'm going to vent a little bit.

I was disappointed in the NFOA turnout for this event.  By my count, we had only six NFOA members in attendance, including me.

Folks, if we can't turn out to support a candidate like Ian, we might as well hand over our guns right now.  We need to get gun grabber, liberals like Rick Kolowski out of our state legislature and strong supporters of our Constitution like Ian in.  We need to do whatever we can to get this young man, and other candidates like him, elected.

I planned on attending & was not able to get off of work until after 6pm that day...I definitely understand the frustration as we have similar turnout at other events. 

I do plan on donating some money & would be happy to volunteer for some door to door work going forward.
