LawyerJan:
I'm hoping that he follows through on this promise and is not distracted by his health care, anti-gun and other agendas.  IMHO in order to unite the people, he will need to lay down the issues that divide us now.  In fact, get this job done, and then I can listen to his plan, but right now I'm afraid its just "blah, blah, blah..."

Allowing the detainees to be prosecuted in civil court is a step in the wrong direction.  Not calling the Fort Hood terrorist a terrorist or at least a hate crime is a step backwards.  He's a real smooth talker, and this could very well be political rhetoric, we'll see.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of his, did not vote for him, and would vote against him again even if Republicans, Conservatives and Independents could only muster Hilary as an opponent (but Hil, that would be a tough one, don't count my vote yet).

PS.   Pick up your Terrorist Hunting Permits at the Bullet Hole in LaVista, what a hoot.

huskergun:
Got my permit.

He says he will do this .......not until July is what I heard....Until then our brave men and women are sitting ducks. If he was serious he would have put 75,000 plus in there 3 months ago and got the job done. Instead he is putting 30,000 in place in the winter. Anyone thought about how we are going to get supplies and vehicles in there at this time of year?
This guy is a joke. He has no clue what he is doing and if he does have a clue he is evil.
Furthermore I didn't see a whole lot off love from the cadets at West Point. Oh but silly me according to Chris Mathews of MSNBC he was in an "enemy camp".
Enough said.

LawyerJan:
Right, from a tactical point of view he is incompetent, should have acted on this as soon as he took his oath. Certainly shouldn't have waited so long after the latest request for 40,000.
