Phone Scammer Active in Omaha Metro

I just got off the phone with a scammer who claimed he was a US Marshall.

The name he gave was Anthony Carter, Badge Number R2B-103C

He also gave a phone number that traces to Hebron, Nebraska

He stated that their were warrants out for my arrest for failure to appear before a Grand Jury

While he did know my home address which is scary, he claimed I had signed the summons which I have not.

He got smart eventually when all I was doing was extracting more and more details from him and hung up.

I have notified the US Marshalls and Sarpy County Sheriff this happened.

There's a supercool way to handle these kinds of contacts:

Just tell him that first you'll go get a whole lotta money from your bank and then you'll meet up with him 5pm sharp at the SE corner of 15th and Howard Streets in Omaha.
