Summer coyotes...

(1/1)

on the fritz:
What to do with the coyotes killed during non-prime fur months (or even mangy, lice infested, etc.)?

From what I can gather, most people just compost (bury) them?

Would like some input on this.  I have an opportunity to help out a horse owner; and consequently many other people on nearby acreages (pets, etc.).  They had a den 50-ish yds from their house.  They want the population thinned, but I have never known what to do with the vermin when they couldn't be sold for their fur.

Thanks!

RobertH:
they are not next to nothing when the fur is not primed.  i would just let them lay (especially if mangy) or throw them in a field for fertilizer.  since i'm a curious one, if i were to shoot a couple, stack them up and put a trail camera on that spot and see who/whats stops by for a snack.

where are you doing this?  can i come?

on the fritz:
That was my thought, but the land owner said she didn't want to look at them laying out there in her pasture.  I even said I would bury them in a shallow hole for her.

Just leave 'em for the crows and hawks...
