What's your favorite gun to shoot?

I was thinking about this after shooting Sunday afternoon. I ran a few mags through a 9mm AR carbine I put together at Christmas time. What a hoot that thing is. Then I burned off a few mags through a PAP 92 AK SBR- makes me feel like I'm in Spetznaz (although it can wear on my jaw after a while due to the triangle stock.) Finally I sighted in a new scope on my Kel-tec RFB. Can you choose a favorite, or is that bad taste like preferring one of your kids?

I know I'm a rifle guy. I like shotguns and shoot pistols because I think I should, but I prefer rifles.....just not sure which one I like the most. Lots of contenders.

How about you?

You should completely shoot that 9mm carbine in Pistol-Caliber Carbine division (either Open or Irons) at the upcoming Great Plains Steel Challenge Championship.  :)

I just got a 9mm carbine recently also, and that thing is seriously fun to shoot.  Primary Arms red dot, and a $30 muzzle brake on the end, and it is ridiculously easy to hit steel.  Too much fun!  Mine would be in Open division, obviously.  If you don't have a muzzle break or comp, and just iron sights, Irons division would work for you...ahem.  https://easternnebraskapracticalshooters.com/2016-great-plains-steel-challenge-championship/

As for favorite gun to shoot---that's really hard to say.

I will say that I ALWAYS have fun when I'm shooting my Mark II Ruger 22/45 pistol.  (4" bull barrel, fiber optic front sight, Volquartsen hammer/sear combo in it.)

But....I love shooting my G34 or G17 in USPSA or IDPA, I like shooting my new 10/22 Takedown (which I've modified A LOT), I enjoy my .223 and .308 ARs....

....it is really hard to pick just one!

I suppose that is a good thing, really.   :)

My competitive days are past but I still enjoy a good day with friends and pistols. My favorite is a Sig P239 followed by a Kahr 380. I have a couple of friends who enjoy 1000 yards with a rifle, mine is a 243 AI built by a guy in Chadron. It still makes me smile when I hear the steel ring at 1000.

I would be a little scared of a super shorty and I am decidedly pro-gun! I would think it would be a handful.

You make a good point though, I love me some suppressed shooting. My Tavor and a .300Blk in particular.
SBR's are very handy too.

Also, have a Henry .22 Lever action that is a pure joy to fire and a terror to chipmunks. Not sure if it's the favorite, but any red-blooded American has to like popping off a few rounds with that.

Thanks for the info jthhapkido. I doubt I'll make it this year, but sounds very cool.
