Best Way to Celebrate 4th of July Weekend---Steel Challenge match!
(1/1)
JTH:
What's one of the best ways to celebrate the 4th of July weekend?
Shooting a Steel Challenge match with your family!
Sunday, July 3rd, SC match at the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club. Only $15 for 6 stages.
Register and pay online! (You don't HAVE to do that, but it is REALLY helpful if you at least register online.)

Remember---you can shoot SC with a .22 rimfire pistol or .22 rimfire rifle, and you don't need anything other than the firearm and at least 2 magazines (though it would be really helpful if you had five), ammunition, and a gun bag to keep them in!
If shooting centerfire pistol, you'll also need a safe holster that covers the trigger guard to draw from. (You don't draw with rimfire at all.)
If you have a pistol-caliber carbine (9mm, .40, .45, .357, or 10mm) you can shoot that instead! (Matter of fact, I'm bringing out my 9mm carbine for fun this match.)
Steel Challenge is a LOT of fun, and it is all about shooting quickly and accurately. No reloads on the clock, no movement on the clock (unless we are shooting Outer Limits, and if so, 6 feet of movement on the clock is it), and the steel goes BONG when you hit it.

See you there!

Well, I know that four of us will be shooting PCC this time.....you should try it also!
Even if you are one of the poor, deprived people who DON'T yet own a pistol-caliber carbine :) you should still come out and shoot.
Like I said, it is an excellent way to celebrate the weekend of Independence Day. And it is FUN!

(Also, take a look at the post about the new classification system for Steel Challenge---if you are an SCSA or USPSA member, we'll keep uploading your scores like always and the new classification system looks like it will actually be relevant to all the divisions. Pretty cool stuff!)
JTH:
Results are up! 68 shooters, in weather that ended up being just about perfect for shooting!
