As to the HPA, it first needs to again make it out of committee. If it does that, it has a much better chance of passing. Yes, the way it is written is you will get your tax stamp back as a tax credit if it passes.

BUT

Let me break it down Barney-style for y'all. If it passes, there will be an immediate run on suppressors. With the immediate increase in demand, prices will skyrocket as you will have FUDD's buying up everything they can to resell at a ridiculous markup. And people will buy them. Production (or price, or both) will increase to counter demand, and until the two even out you will not find a suppressor on the shelf. You're looking at no less than 6 months of scarcity, the level of which has not been seen since the Sandy Hook buying panic.

So what can you do? I'll tell you. If you're thinking, even considering, a suppressor, get your ass to the store NOW. Here's why: If it passes, those stamps are approved immediately. If it passes, you already have your can. If it passes, you'll not have to wait or race to the shop to get one, hoping that someone hasn't been there first with a fatter wallet.

I can't be any more blunt than that.

You mean more of a run before 41-F was implemented on July 13, 2016?  :o  It was substantial.  I'm hearing wait times of a year if you didn't make it in before the deadline.  Whats interesting me is that stamp money will be reimbursed, although I've not read the bill and have no idea how far retroactive it'll go.......if at all.  Honestly can't see the "Gubment" giving back.

the date the bill was introduced is the start date of when refunds would happen.  i think its Oct 2015.

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i think the refund would come with your tax refund, not just a check.

Thanks for that Robert.  But color me somewhat "Skeptical" about it passing.  Lets not forget we still aren't sure what we're going to get with President Elect Trump.  Way better than the other choice but with his previous history we just don't know as he seems to be a bit of a wild card.

i am hopeful that it will pass since his son is a hunter and has interviewed a few times about the HPA.

for Trump, he could be great leader or he could be a great basketball player (Fakes Right, goes Left).
