I heard he was given permission to hunt by someone "managing ground for someone else..... and the owner was saving that deer for someone else.....

I got the same picture from a friend of mine who bow hunts.  He said the picture was sent to him by a friend of his in Kansas.  The buck was shot by a bow hunter in Kansas, and is a new Kansas state record.
That buck really gets around................

I gotta say, IF he was shot here in NE with a gun, then rose from the dead, and was shot by a bow in KS. Here is my theory,

He was shot here in NE, while the hunter was transporting him back to Texas he fell out of the truck, then a zombie found him, bit him and now he is a zombie deer.

Anyway, I would be willing to bet that it comes up that he wasn't from either NE or KS. I got a picture of a deer like that in a text so hard telling where it originated.

Nice. Its just insane when you get texts like that, You have no clue how many times they had been forwarded (the one I got had at least 6 FW: before the name) So not drawing conclusions just waiting for hard evidence before actually believing what is benig told to me. the world got a ton smaller when we all started carrying phones that send picture msgs. And now that I have almost as many friends that live out of state as I have that live in state. I just know that its even that much smaller. So congrats to the guy no matter where he is from or where he got the deer. Its an impressive kill no matter what.

"the deer turning in to zombies "

.....That'd be the only case in which a .223 (AR platform) would be the optimum round (runs and hides :P).......
